A Vast Choice Of Contemporary Clock Designs
If you thought that clocks were things from the past and that there are no new designs, you couldn’t be further from the truth. The fact is that we always need to tell the time, and there are huge numbers of contemporary clocks that have a very 21st century appeal.
There are pendulum clocks, mirror wall clocks, skeleton wall clocks, electric clocks, world time zone clocks, radio-controlled clocks, modern mantle clocks, modern alarm clocks, digital time zone world wall clocks, and invotis gear clocks, just to name a few.
One of the most stunning contemporary clocks is the Invotis gear clock. This is a wall clock that is composed of gear wheels that look as though they might have come out of your car gearbox, and between them these gear wheels drive another big wheel which has the hours printed on it. An arrow at the top points to the hour as it passes the arrow. There is no minute hand, but the clock is large and it is easy to read the time down to the nearest four or five minutes, which is good enough for most purposes.
An even more elaborate version of the Invotis gear clock has two further wheels which show the day and the month. Altogether an absolutely stunning piece and a very clever design – and what a talking point when you have friends round for the evening!
Then there are pendulum wall clocks in a striking acrylic finish of red, silver, gold, white, black, or orange. These clocks have a square face and long pendulum hanging below. The face has Roman numerals and the hands are finished in chrome.
There is also a huge array of skeleton wall clocks that you can buy in a variety of finishes, and many with Roman numerals. They range in diameter from around 13” up to one which is a massive four feet across! Another talking point in any modern home!
There are also world time zone clocks, some with three clocks and one with five which is useful if you really want to know the time in five disparate countries.
There are many, many more modern and contemporary clocks that you can buy, and a search on Google will give you all sorts of ideas.
