People Still Read BOOKS?!!
Believe it or not, and I know we are in the 21st century, but there are a LOT of people who still read books! Yes, those hardback books with pages made out of paper still exist, and a lot of people prefer them to going on to Kindle and downloading a book on to a mobile or a tablet.
What’s more, many of us who were around in the last century, and that is actually the majority of the population at present, have books that we bought before anyone had ever heard of the internet because it hadn’t been invented, and neither had Kindle. On top of that, many families have books that have been handed down by their parents and grandparents, and a lot of them are classics that we wouldn’t dream of throwing out just because somebody by the name of Jeff Bezos happens to be the richest man in the world!
Good luck to him! But we want to keep our books.
However, we do have to admit that Mr Bezos makes life a bit easier when you can download a whole library on to something that you can hold in the palm of your hand.
When we have real books, we need to have somewhere to keep them and those things are called bookshelves. Sheets of timber that you mount on a couple of brackets and screw on to the walls. Yep, they do look a bit past it, but they do the job of holding all our books.
However, modern design has caught up and you can now have a bookshelf such as the Kartell Bookworm Short Shelf which is a strip of metal that you can bend into any shape you desire and affix to the wall to hold your books. The Kartell Bookworm Short Shelf is 320cm long and has seven bookends which you can attach in order to hold your collection of books in any manner which pleases you..
The Kartell Bookworm Short Shelf also comes in a choice of five colours to match your room so you can keep your books in a contemporary fashion, and still read as you did yesterday.
