Modern Barware for Your Home Bar
If you are like many men today and have your own man cave, you no doubt have a home bar included in it as well. You may not even have a man cave, but many homes today choose to have a bar, which might be where there was once a dining room, since a lot of families today eat in the kitchen.
If you have a bar, there is on thing that is certain and that is that you will need some modern barware to go with it. Modern barware includes all those things that you need to pour and mix dinks, open bottles, and so on, and most of it is inexpensive.
One thing that is indispensable is a rotary bar dispenser which holds up to four one litre bottles of whatever your favourite tipples may be. You can just pop it on the bar – it is made of a light aluminium with a polished chrome finish and sturdy base – and you just rotate it to select the drink of choice and push the glass up under the optic in the same way as in the pub. It pours a perfect 1.5 oz shot every time, and as you do it the LED light, which is blue, illuminates at the same time. It is a clever design and a real talking point.
You will also need an ice bucket, and there are several designs that look like a top hat or bowler hat sitting upside down on the bar and in which you can cool your champagne, prosecco, or whatever else takes your fancy. There is also another one which is designed like an octopus sitting on your bar. He holds the large bowl in his tentacles.
You will also need somewhere to store all your bottles of wine, and modern barware has some ingenious designs including a very clever one by Blomus. This is made from polished stainless steel and is fixed to the wall. It supports the wine bottles by the neck rather than the body, and has a rubber insert into each ring which fits around the bottle neck tightly, but the bottle is still easy to remove. A space-saving and clever idea.
